　　BBC在片中也不止一次提到，也正是因为杜甫经历无数的战乱、苦难之后，才使得他成了一名伟大的诗人，甚至没有安禄山，就没有杜甫...

　　这段时间，他写出了最为人熟知的一首《春望》：

　　国破山河在，城春草木深。

　　The state is destroyed, but the country remains. In the city in spring, grass and weeds grow everywhere.

　　感时花溅泪，恨别鸟惊心。

　　Grieving for the times, even the blossom sheds tears.

　　烽火连三月，家书抵万金。

　　Beacon fires have been burning for three months now. A letter from home would be worth 10,000 in gold.

　　

　　最后杜甫得幸与家人团聚，并与759年冬天，举家南下，逃到成都，在浣花溪畔，他建造了注明的“草堂”，《春夜喜雨》 就写于此，此处也从此成为了历代文人的朝圣之地：

　　好雨知时节，当春乃发生。

　　The good rain knows its season when spring arrives.

　　晓看红湿处，花 重锦官城。

　　Dawn sees this place now red and wet, the flowers in Chengdu are heavy with rain.
