　　 My hometown is a small city located in the north of Fujian Province. There is a river which was clean and very beautiful. Many people liked swimming there in the summer. However, about five years ago.somefactories were built near the river and all the polluted water was discharged into the river.The river smells terrible now and no one goes swimming there anymore.

　　 我的家乡是福建省北部的一个小城。有一条河很干净，很漂亮。夏天许多人喜欢在那里游泳。然而，大约五年前。一些工厂建在河边，所有被污染的水都排放到河里。这条河现在很难闻，再也没有人去游泳了。

　　 2. What are the common types of pollutions in the countryside?

　　 Id say river pollution and harmful garbage.People who live in the countryside used to drink spring water and catch fish in the river. However, the spring water was dry up and all kinds of fish in the river were dead.

　　 我认为是河流污染和有害垃圾。住在农村的人过去常喝泉水，在河里钓鱼。然而，泉水干涸了，河里所有的鱼都死了。

　　 I guess its all because thefactories which built few years ago. Many businessmen tend to build factories in the countryside coz its much cheaper.They discharge the polluted water into the river and throw the harmful garbage everywhere.

　　 我想这都是因为几年前建的工厂。许多商人倾向于在农村建厂，因为那里更便宜。他们把被污染的水排放到河里，把有害的垃圾扔得到处都是。

　　 Well, I have, but Im not a powerfulperson, all I can do is to stop using disposable products, saveevery drop of water, take public transport, and appeal to more people to protect our environment together.
